US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St falls weighed by banks

NEW YORK May 11 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Monday as investors booked profits in financials after a two-month run-up and news of several banks' share offerings heightened worries about their dilutive impact on current shareholders.

* SAP's reassuring comments limit tech losses

* The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI dropped 155.88 points, or 1.82 percent, to close unofficially at 8,418.77. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX fell 19.97 points, or 2.15 percent, to 909.26. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC shed 7.76 points, or 0.45 percent, to 1,731.24. (Reporting by Rodrigo Campos)
