FRAMINGHAM, MA, May 12 (MARKET WIRE) --
Bradway Research LLC has selected five financial technology startups out
of 57 that convened recently at FinovateStartup09 in San Francisco. In
its latest report, "Picking the Winners at FinovateStartup09," Bradway
Research selected the top five startups that are most likely to become a
commercial success. Significant factors in the analysis included the
startup's business model, its projected success in acquiring customers,
and the solution's capacity for generating revenue. The five winners are:
Jwaala, kaChing, Micronotes, Propser, and Silver Tail Systems.

According to Bill Bradway, founder and managing director of Bradway
Research, "All five startups demonstrated the capacity to generate revenue
from a unique and appealing solution capability." Bradway continued, "Each
of the five startups is focused on a new, innovative solution that meets a
compelling business requirement that will benefit financial institutions.
The future upside for these five startups will depend on the execution of
their business plans." Bradway expects several of the startups will become
M & A targets of larger FinTech-oriented software or services companies
within 18 months.

The primary source of revenue for two of the vendors is software license
and maintenance fees. The other three vendors rely on revenues that are
tied to the volume of transactions that are generated from the
implementation of their solutions, each of which is unique to its
marketplace.
