MELVILLE, N.Y. & DALLAS--(Business Wire)--
FalconStor Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:FALC), the provider of TOTALLY Open data
protection solutions, and Global Data Vault, a leading provider of online backup
and disaster recovery (DR) failover solutions, today announced that they are the
chosen vendors to provide data protection and DR for TechWeb's Interop
Conference infrastructure. In addition, Fadi Albatal, senior director of product
marketing for FalconStor, will discuss how companies of all sizes are leveraging
virtualization to create cost-effective DR implementations at Interop Las Vegas
2009, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The example for this session is the DR solution deployed by Global Data Vault
for InteropNet, the Interop conference IT environment used by exhibitors,
conference rooms and attendees. Global Data Vault is leveraging FalconStor®
Continuous Data Protector (CDP) Virtual Appliances for the data protection of 28
blade servers supporting 20 active virtual servers at the conference. This
scenario can be extrapolated to represent data protection issues common to many
real-world data centers and is a showcase for how businesses can utilize
virtualization to implement successful DR plans.
