NET ASSET VALUE

BLACKROCK WORLD MINING TRUST PLC

The unaudited net asset value for BlackRock World Mining Trust plc at close of
business on 15 May 2009 was:

436.04p    Capital only (undiluted)                                            
                                                                               
438.55p    Including current year income (undiluted)                           

Notes:

1. Investments have been valued on a bid price basis.

2. Revenue items included in net asset value, with dividends payable deducted
on the ex-dividend date.

3. 166,000 ordinary shares were purchased on 3 February 2009, bringing the
total amount of ordinary shares held in Treasury to 15,249,600.
