Westcon Group Appoints Gahn Lane to Lead Dedicated Service Provider Channel Offering in the Americas

TARRYTOWN, NY, May 18 (MARKET WIRE) --
Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking,
convergence, security and mobility, announced the appointment of Gahn
Lane to the position of vice president, service providers, the Americas.
In his new position, he will oversee the development of Westcon's service
provider-oriented channel offerings for North and South America.

The service provider market represents an important growth segment for
Westcon Group, especially as these customers look toward conducting global
business to realize new revenue opportunities. Westcon Group completed
over 20,000 multi-national transactions in more than 60 countries during
the last year alone. Its Global Procurement Service (GPS) helps service

Gahn Lane, who is leading the service provider group at Westcon, is a
20-year channel sales veteran. Previously, he held senior executive roles
at Nortel where he oversaw the development of the Company's service
provider accounts including AT&T and Sprint. Lane also managed sales of
Nortel's entire VoIP and data portfolio and its managed services offerings
for these and other customers.
