CHICAGO, IL, May 18 (MARKET WIRE) --
The HallStar Company (www.hallstar.com), a Chicago-based specialty
chemistry company, launched a series of free, on-demand webinars to teach
compounders and formulators how to integrate new chemical technologies
into plasticizer and personal care applications.
The educational series -- part of HallStar's online media system called
StarNet -- is available at www.hallstar.com/starnet. StarNet is designed
to help technical audiences anywhere in the world keep pace with industry
innovations.
"Our business is increasingly global," said John Paro, President and CEO
of HallStar. "These webinars are excellent ways to reach compounders and
formulators in any location from New York to New Zealand and all points in
between."
Each webinar addresses specific issues in personal care and polymer
additives sectors. For example, the sun care webinars cover the theories
and solutions to photostabilize sun protection products. The Paraplex(R)
Approach webinar explains when and how to use this technology to develop
new PVC and nitrile rubber products based on end-use properties.
A HallStar scientist presents each webinar. He or she discusses technical
properties, and demonstrates how they can be put to work in real-world
products.
"HallStar webinars -- and our entire StarNet media system -- are new ways
to stay in touch with our customers at their convenience," said Justin
Bill, E-Business Manager at HallStar. "They are accessible 365/24/7 from
the HallStar website at www.hallstar.com/starnet."
Current titles for personal care formulators include:
-- Patented Photostabilizing Strategies for Sun Care:
HallBrite(R) BHB & Spectrasolv(R) DMDA
-- Patented Photostabilizing Strategies for Sun Care: Polycrylene(R)
-- Patented Photostabilizing Strategies for Sun Care: SolaStay(TM) S1
-- HallBrite(R) BHB for Color Cosmetics
Titles for polymer additive compounders include:
-- Improved Performance Properties in Vamac(R): TegMeR 812
-- Paraplex(R) Approach: Custom Engineered Plasticizers
"We'll be adding new webinars in the coming months to meet our
customers' needs," said Susan Nutter, Communications Manager at HallStar.
"When you're looking for answers to questions about specialty personal
care ingredients or polymer additives, HallStar is the place to start."
