WATERLOO, WI, May 18 (MARKET WIRE) --
Trek Bicycle today announced that two-time Xterra World Champion and
multiple 70.3 World Championship top-five finisher Julie Dibens will race
and train aboard Trek bicycles for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Dibens will
ride a custom-painted Project One Equinox TTX 9.9 SSL for triathlons, a
Top Fuel 9.9 SSL in Xterra events, and a Project One Madone 5.5 for daily
training.

"Trek is committed to supporting achievement at all levels of cycling and
triathlon," noted Trek's Road Bike Brand Manager, Nick Howe. "Julie Dibens
is the perfect complement to our recently announced Trek Women Triathlon
Series, and we are thrilled to have an athlete of her caliber setting an
example of the endless possibilities that come out of participation in
triathlon, cycling, and an active lifestyle."

"I'm really excited to be working with the top bicycle brand in the U.S.,"
said Dibens. "As someone who competes in both traditional triathlons and
in Xterra events, it's important to me that I have a bike supplier who can
provide me with the best equipment for each discipline. With the TTX and
the Top Fuel, I know I have two of the fastest bikes on the race course."

Each of Julie Dibens' Trek bikes will be outfitted with a variety of
Bontrager Speed components, including Aeolus 6.5 and 5.0 road wheels, as
well as Race XXX Lite Carbon mountain bike wheels. Combined with her
already speedy Trek bikes, the addition of Bontrager componentry will
further help Julie Dibens reach her goal of becoming the first athlete to
win both the Xterra World Championship and Ironman 70.3 World
Championship in the same year.
