Japan's JS Group to buy Ideal Standard's Asia ops

TOKYO May 18 (Reuters) - Japanese housing fixtures maker JS Group Corp (5938.T) said on Monday it has agreed to buy the Asian operations of Belgian bathroom furnishings company Ideal Standard International for about 112 million euros ($150 million).
Under the deal, JS Group will acquire Ideal Standard's seven companies in Asia and the firm's 63.8 percent stake in A-S China Plumbing Products 8262.HK.
JS Group said it also aims to buy the remaining stake in A-S China Plumbing Products through a tender offer, though details have not been decided.
The privately owned Ideal Standard makes and sells American Standard brand bathroom ceramics and other products and has 10 production locations in five countries in Asia, JS Group said in a statement. ($1=.7444 Euro) (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
