EU clears deal for MOL to gain control of INA
BUDAPEST |
BUDAPEST May 18 (Reuters) - The European Commission has approved a deal, without setting any conditions, between Hungarian oil group MOL MOLB.BU and Croatia's government to allow MOL to gain control over Croat oil company INA INA.ZA.
"According to the amended Shareholder Agreement, MOL will be responsible for running INA after INA's next shareholder meeting elects a new Supervisory Board," MOL said on Monday.
The deal was struck on January 30. MOL is INA's biggest shareholder with a 47 percent stake. (Reporting by Sandor Peto; Editing by Dan Lalor)
