SocGen hires Thierry d'Argent from JP Morgan

PARIS May 18 (Reuters) - Societe Generale (SOGN.PA) has hired investment banker Thierry d'Argent from Wall Street rival JP Morgan (JPM.N) as part of a plan to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions team, the French bank said on Monday.

Thierry d'Argent, 43, was a managing director for JP Morgan and had helped run the U.S. bank's French mergers and acquisitions business since 2000. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta; editing by Mike Nesbit)
