BAE Systems says has won $600 million U.S. deal

LONDON May 19 (Reuters) - British defence giant BAE Systems (BAES.L) has won a $600 million contract to refurbish heavy infantry vehicles for the United States army.

The company, which generates over half its $34 billion sales from the U.S, said in a statement on Tuesday it would repair and upgrade over 600 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, with deliveries to be completed by March 2010. (Reporting by John Bowker; Editing by Hans Peters)
