How America Signs Her Name; United Spinal Association Presents How to Display
Our Flag

NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United Spinal Association in
recognition of Memorial Day (May 25) and Flag Day (June 14) 2009 is offering
free instructions on "How to Display Our Flag" and do it correctly, all of
which can be found online in English and Spanish in the publications section
of www.UnitedSpinal.org. There are also instructions on how to address and
honor the flag during various ceremonies.

When we view the flag, we think of freedom, liberty, and pride. It flies on
both Poles, the moon, and sits atop Mount Everest.

Most Americans view the flag in all its majesty flying in the wind from a
flagpole. However, there is a proper time and way to raise and lower the flag
on a daily basis as well as on special occasions.

There are many other scenarios in which the flag is presented including
displays with one or more flags, on a staff, suspended from a window, hanging
horizontally, as bunting, on a casket or in procession.
