LAS VEGAS, NV, May 19 (MARKET WIRE) --
INTEROP-Las Vegas - Vidyo(R), Inc., the first company to deliver personal
telepresence, today announced another breakthrough in the cost of HD
videoconferencing room systems with the introduction of the VidyoRoom(TM)
HD-50. Priced at $1,995, the VidyoRoom HD-50 delivers up to 720p
resolution. A certified USB-based HD video camera can be connected to
complete the system. The dual-display HD system seamlessly interacts with
VidyoDesktop(TM) clients, allowing conference participants to join a
telepresence-like HD room video conference from their home, office or on
the road, over converged IP networks such as the Internet. Vidyo will be
demonstrating the VidyoRoom HD-50 this week at Interop Las Vegas, Booth
#963.

VidyoConferencing(TM) is the first conferencing solution that
enables endpoints to seamlessly interoperate from HD room systems to
laptops within the same conference via converged IP networks, without the
requirement of an MCU.

"Vidyo has once again shaken up the status quo in the videoconferencing
world," said Ofer Shapiro, Vidyo CEO. "Up until now a videoconferencing
endpoint capable of encoding HD video for under $2,000 was unheard of. In
addition, it can be deployed on a DSL or cable modem Internet connection,
making it Opex as well as Capex-friendly."

    VidyoRoom HD-50 Features

The VidyoRoom HD-50 system is a natural extension to the way people
normally work. It is simple to configure, easy to use, and supports both
voice-activated and continuous presence layouts.

-- The HD-50 encodes up to 720p and supports dual monitors to display
conference participants on one monitor and shared applications on the other

-- Flexible conference control options facilitate set-up and management,
using either the VidyoPortal(TM) or a remote control device

-- Certified USB-based HD video camera can be connected

The new product features the same intuitive, directory driven, GUI as
Vidyo's other products and is operated with an IR remote control. Vidyo
conferences are initiated quickly and easily with "one-click" entry into a
private meeting room through the VidyoPortal. Since the HD-50 offers full
and automatic integration with the VidyoPortal user database, there is no
need for the user to maintain a local address book.

Of particular note, the VidyoRoom interoperates seamlessly with
VidyoDesktop(TM) clients, making it possible for people to join a
conference from their home office or from their laptop, anywhere they
happen to be. The system has been uniquely designed for use over converged
IP networks, yet achieves a level of video quality unequaled by
videoconferencing solutions that require dedicated bandwidth to perform at
their best.

Vidyo launched the VidyoConferencing product family in 2008. It is the
world's first scalable coding enabled videoconferencing system. Vidyo is
the first company to license technology and deliver products built upon an
entirely new videoconferencing architecture that utilizes the H.264/SVC
video compression standard, approved in late 2007.
