Personalized Financial Risk Assessment Helps Organizations Boost Productivity
and Identify "Worst Practices" in Excel Use

SAN FRANCISCO, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A3 Solutions is offering
line-of-business managers and financial executives a no-obligation spreadsheet
efficiency check-up to demonstrate how centralized spreadsheet processes can
boost productivity and mitigate financial risks. Structured as a 60-minute
telephone assessment, the personal consultation identifies "worst practices"
in spreadsheet use such as version control problems and data integrity issues
caused by manual distribution and consolidation of Excel documents.
Qualifying organizations will be provided with a working prototype of a web
application based on their specific financial models and an estimate of the
labor and cost savings to be gained by deploying the A3 Modeling Spreadsheet
Application Server(TM).

"The current economic recession is prompting public and private organizations
to take a closer look at the efficiency and integrity of their financial
processes, especially those involving spreadsheets," commented Robert Lautt,
founder and CEO of A3 Solutions. "Many executives are surprised to learn that
on average organizations depend on spreadsheets for twenty or more critical
multi-user processes. These rogue spreadsheet activities are inefficient and
expose the organization to a multitude of risks that can be mitigated by
deploying a spreadsheet application server."

During the telephone assessment, A3 will demonstrate how to convert isolated
desktop spreadsheets into centralized models that can be consistently managed
and audited. From then on, authorized users can safely populate their
spreadsheets from sanctioned data sources for more efficient data entry,
consolidation, reporting and analyses.

The A3 Spreadsheet Application Server enables Excel users to create
comprehensive modeling and write-back applications using just their
spreadsheet skills, alleviating the need to implement complex financial
software packages.

"Excel users involved in planning, budgeting, forecasting and operational
analysis now have the best of all worlds," said Mr. Lautt. "They can keep
their favorite spreadsheets, avoid the arduous transition to a financial
software package, and work within an enterprise environment that upholds
corporate data quality initiatives."
