A10 Launches AX 5200 to Deliver World's Most Energy Efficient Load Balancer
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A10 Networks(R) today unveiled the AX
5200, the highest performance model in the AX Series Advanced Traffic Manager
family. The AX 5200 combines performance, high port density, energy savings
and space savings. The AX 5200 delivers an unprecedented 3+ million Layer 4
Connections per Second (CPS) in a compact 2U form factor. A full suite of
application acceleration, optimization, load balancing, networking and
security features are included to increase data center efficiency while
lowering energy and operational costs. With a maximum power consumption of
only 680 Watts, customers can save over 70 percent in energy costs over
competing chassis solutions.
Designed for the World's Top Enterprises, Web Sites, Portals and Carriers
AX 5200 is designed to transform the application delivery market with improved
business efficiency. It is tuned for processing millions of concurrent
connections and high data rates. AX 5200 allows top customers to scale their
infrastructure while keeping management costs down. With the industry-leading
performance per Watt, the AX 5200 also solves complex networking challenges
with innovative features. Additionally, AX 5200 introduces the new Parallel
Flexible Traffic ASIC (PFTA) technology to enable the industry's highest Layer
4 CPS and includes hardware-based Denial of Service (DoS) SYN flood
protection.
64-bit Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS)
AX Series is empowered by A10's award winning ACOS. ACOS was designed from the
ground up for the multi-core, multi-processor shared memory systems. AX 5200
deploys 64-bit ACOS to leverage the latest advances in processor technology.
ACOS's Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) Engine allows flexible Layer 4 to Layer 7
traffic management with minimum overhead.
Additional hardware highlights include:
-- The latest Intel Nehalem 64-bit multi-core, hyper-thread processors
-- Standard 24 GB memory; support for up to 192 GB memory
-- 3+ millions Layer 4 CPS and 40 Gb application throughput
-- High-density interfaces: 16 x 10 Gb ports and 4 x 1 Gb ports
