ICPM Honors Seven Exceptional Managers with Recognition Awards

Awards Recognize Certified Managers, Board Members, and Partners That Exemplify Superior Leadership and Excellence in Professional Development HARRISONBURG, Va.--(Business Wire)-- The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM), a leading management development and leadership educator, announced today the recipients of the 2009 ICPM Recognition Awards. Seven managers, which included Certified Managers (CM), CM™ instructors and facilitators, ICPM partners, and ICPM Regents, were recognized for their outstanding leadership, support, and commitment to management education. Award categories included: CM of the Year, CM Facilitator of the Year, ICPM Training Partner of the Year, and The Max Wortman, Jr. Distinguished Service Award. The call for award nominations is made during the first quarter of each year, with submissions made by senior managers, Certified Managers, NMA and AALAS representatives, and board members. Finalists are selected by an Awards Committee and officially announced in May. Live award presentations are made at a variety of recognition events. This year`s award recipients were recognized for their outstanding efforts in outreach and recruitment, innovative instruction, quality facilitation, mentoring, social responsibility, ethical modeling, and advocacy for the CM program. Additionally, recipients of The Max Wortman, Jr. Distinguished Service Award were recognized for exceptional board leadership and support of the CM certification program while serving on the ICPM Board of Regents, the governing body for the Institute.
