Sebastian Ferrero Foundation Continues Support of Community Child Safety
Programs

Swim for Safety event provides free swim classes for Gainesville children age
6 months - 12 years old

GAINESVILLE, Fla., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sebastian Ferrero Foundation is
partnering with The Swim Squad and Sun Country Sports Center to provide over
300 local children the opportunity to receive free swim lessons on Saturday,
June 6, 2009. The Swim for Safety event is part of an ongoing initiative
coordinated by the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation to promote and facilitate
child safety programs in the community.

Sun Country Sports Center will be unveiling their brand new aquatic facility
featuring a 75' x 31' pool to host the event from 9AM to 5PM on June 6, 2009.
Jodi Bennett, manager of Sun Country Sports Center, commented, "We are so
excited to be teaming up with the Foundation again. Their advocacy for child
safety and their initiative to build a full-service, state-of-the-art
children's hospital in Gainesville are goals we support 100%."

Jordan Meher, Aquatics Director of The Swim Squad, a local provider of at-home
swimming lessons explains, "For every child who drowns, four are hospitalized
and sixteen receive emergency room care for near-drowning." The Foundation is
currently leading a partnership of community foundations in support of a
dedicated pediatric emergency room at UF & Shands.

While the majority of the Foundation's programs relate to child patient
safety, the Swim for Safety event is a fun, interactive way to extend the
mission of educating our community and keeping our children safe. "Part of our
mission, from day one, was to educate and empower parents," said Horst
Ferrero, co-founder of the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation. "By partnering with
community organizations and businesses, we are able to educate the community
in yet another way that will impact the safety of our children."
