ilumisys channel partner IHNcorp aids city with energy conservation pilot
program

TROY, Mich., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ilumisys, Inc., developer and producer of
next-generation solid-state lighting technology, announced today that its
channel partner, IHNcorp, has installed several LED light tubes as part of a
pilot program for the city of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

Los Angeles-based IHNcorp and its subsidiary, Ecogreen Solutions Inc.,
replaced several fluorescent lights with ilumisys MK-1 LED light tubes in the
city's offices.

"San Juan Capistrano is interested in reducing its usage of lighting that
contains mercury and in finding energy-efficient alternatives," said Ziad
Mazboudi, senior civil engineer, City of San Juan Capistrano. "The residents
of our city look for us to be well-versed in alternative-energy solutions."

San Juan Capistrano installed the lights as part of a pilot program with its
utility company in an emerging-technology program. The program is aimed at
conserving energy and helping to stimulate customers to go green.

"Cities and municipalities know their residents want to live in areas that are
environmentally friendly and are active in sustainability and energy-saving
initiatives," said ilumisys President Dave Simon. "The LED market is growing
rapidly; and by reducing barriers to installation, our commercial grade
lighting technology leads the way for increased adoption of alternative
lighting."

In addition to providing an energy-efficient alternative, unlike the
fluorescent tubes they replace, the ilumisys tubes are mercury free. The 500
million to 600 million fluorescent tubes discarded annually in the United
States introduce an estimated two to four tons of mercury to the environment,
despite industry and government efforts to limit mercury content and encourage
recycling.

ilumisys, formed in 2007, is a spinoff of Altair, a global software and
technology company that has a growing presence in the energy market. With the
backing of Altair, its majority owner, ilumisys has a deep and substantial
investment in research and development that includes more than 30 patent
applications filed to date. The company's channel partner network includes
businesses across the Northeast, Midwest and West Coast.
