TechNet Urges U.S. Senate Approval of Aneesh Chopra as Nation's First Chief
Technology Officer

WASHINGTON, May 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- TechNet, the bipartisan

today urged swift U.S. Senate approval of Aneesh Chopra, President Obama's
nominee for the nation's first-ever Chief Technology Officer. 

The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee today will hold a hearing on the nomination
of Mr. Chopra.  Most recently, Mr. Chopra has served as the Commonwealth of
Virginia's Secretary of Technology since 2006, reporting directly to Governor
Tim Kaine.
