ANGLO & OVERSEAS PLC

Based on a bid price valuation, the unaudited net asset value per Ordinary
Share of the Company as at 18 May 2009 was 94.30 pence including estimated
current period revenue and 92.29 pence excluding current period revenue.

This is based on 77,200,480 Ordinary Shares, being the issued capital of
85,777,918 Ordinary Shares less 8,577,438 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
