United Football League Announces Coaching Staffs for Its Franchises

Dennis Green Named Chair of Competition Committee
RUTHERFORD, N.J.--(Business Wire)--
At a recent UFL executive meeting in Orlando, Commissioner Michael Huyghue,
along with each of the head coaches, announced the addition of many highly
qualified assistant coaches to their rosters for the League`s upcoming
"Premiere" season. Of the 30 coaches being announced today, nearly 85% have
walked the NFL sidelines as a player, coach or both. Commissioner Huyghue also
named San Francisco Head Coach Dennis Green as Chair of the UFL`s Competition
Committee, a role he had previously held in the NFL. 

"One of the keys to the overall success of the UFL is the high caliber head and
assistant coaches that we have been able to attract," said Commissioner Huyghue.
"The addition of these highly talented individuals, along with the naming of
Coach Green as Chair of the League`s Competition Committee, are further
indicators of our goal of producing a high quality product on the field that
within time will be indistinguishable from other professional football leagues
currently playing." 

In Las Vegas, under the tutelage of Head Coach Jim Fassel, the following
assistants were revealed:

* Isaac Carter, Defensive Backs 
* Donald Eck, Offensive Line 
* Sam Garnes, Defensive Assistant 
* Larry Mac Duff, Defensive Coordinator/Special Teams 
* Charles Shelton, Director of Football Operations/Running Backs 
* Eric Van Heusen, Special Teams/Tight Ends 
* Michael Wilson, Wide Receivers 
* Kevin Wolthausen, Defensive Line

In New York, under the direction of Head Coach Ted Cottrell, the following
assistants were unveiled:

* Donald Blackmon, Defensive Coordinator 
* Derrick Burroughs, Administrative Assistant/Defensive Assistant 
* Earle Mosley, Running Backs 
* John Tice, Offensive Line 
* Pete Rodriguez, Special Teams

In Orlando, under the guidance of Head Coach Jim Haslett, the following coaches
were publicized:

* Jay Gruden, Offensive Coordinator

The UFL recently re-branded its website, www.ufl-football.com, and integrated
popular web 2.0 social networking technologies. Some of the enhanced features of
the website include a running Twitter log and sign-ups for text alerts. A

created direct links to each of these pages from its site. The UFL, in
conjunction with its web designer Lightmaker, has also expanded the League`s

TV and radio interviews by League personnel and coaches and a photo gallery.
