Hawaii Libraries Benefit From Real Estate Book Donation

In part through a donation made by the Hawaii Chapter of Community Association
Institute, Five Libraries will Receive Needed Reference Materials
HONOLULU, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Five Hawaii public libraries received real
estate and community management reference publications through the
Adopt-a-Library program of the Foundation for Community Association Research.
Hawaii State Library, McCully-Moiliili Public Library, Waikiki-Kapahulu Public
Library, Kihei Public Library (Maui), and Lihue Public Library (Kauai) each
received a collection of reference materials providing information on
management of condominiums, townhomes, cooperatives and homeowner associations
valued at over $1,500.
The collection of books and reference publications were made possible by the
State of Hawaii, Hawaii Real Estate Commission Condominium Education Trust
Fund and donations from the Hawaii Chapter of Community Association Institute
and the Foundation for Community Association Research. A selection of the
books were from Community Association Institute (CAI) and included a full set
of the Guide for Association Practitioner Series which covers aspects of
community management such as budgets, landscape specifications,
responsibilities of board members and risk management.

CAI.
The Hawaii State Library held a gift presentation on April 29, 2009 attended
by visitors and industry professionals including Diane Eddy, Hawaii State
Library Director; Al Denys, Jr., President, CAI; Neil Fujitani, Executive
Officer, State DCCA Real Estate Branch; Steve Glandstein, CAI past President;
Sue Savio, CAI past President and Mark Suiso, Head, State DCCA Real Estate
Commission.
