Soleil Securities Adds Veteran Research Analysts and Sales Traders

NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Soleil Securities Corporation, a provider of value-added, independent equity research, sales, trading and execution services, announced today the addition of veteran research analysts and sales traders to its platform. Joining Soleil's research network are biotechnology analyst Biren Amin, financial institutions analyst Gary Tenner, and telecommunications analyst Michael Nelson. Sales trading professionals Thomas Parlon and Oliver Guminski have joined Soleil's Boston and New York offices, respectively. Prior to joining the Soleil platform, Biren spent four years as a Senior Vice President at the Stanford Group covering the biotechnology sector. Biren's previous sell-side research experience includes roles at Avalon Research Group and Prudential Equity Group. Prior to transitioning to investment research, Biren worked at Aventis Pharmaceuticals in their competitive intelligence group. Gary Tenner and his research boutique, Tenner Investment Research, LLC, joined the Soleil platform to concentrate on regional financial institutions, which Gary has covered for over eight years. Prior to joining Soleil, Gary was a Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, a middle-market brokerage firm in Atlanta, GA. Gary has a banking background, having worked for two European commercial banks in a variety of roles, including credit analysis. Michael Nelson has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to forming Nelson Alpha Research, Inc. in 2009, he spent four years at the Stanford Group as a Senior Vice President covering the telecommunications services sector. Mr. Nelson was recognized by the Financial Times/StarMine as #1 Earnings Estimator in the Wireless Telecommunications Services Industry in 2008. He was a member of the Institutional Investor magazine ranked telecommunications team at Citigroup Investment Research from 2002-2005. Mr. Nelson began his career in 1988 as a fixed income derivatives trader at Banque Indosuez. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University and his MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. In addition to the research hires, Soleil also continues to expand its sales and trading capabilities. Thomas Parlon joins as a Director of Sales Trading in Soleil's Boston office. As a former Senior Vice President of Sales Trading at the Stanford Group, Mr. Parlon worked closely with institutional clients in New England and the Northeast. He previously spent eight years with Wachovia Securities' Institutional Sales Trading team. He received his bachelors and MBA degrees from Northeastern University and is currently a member of the Boston Securities Traders Association. In an effort to bolster our European presence, Oliver Guminski joins Soleil's institutional trading team as a Director to focus on our clients located in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He brings 25 years of experience in sales trading to Soleil and was most recently a Vice President at Sanford Bernstein & Co. Before that, he was President of Equity Sales at DG European Securities Corporation. Mr. Guminski began his career at Deutsche Bank and worked in various equity and fixed income trading positions for over 13 years. He completed his university business studies in Frankfurt, Germany.
