CMMI Receives ASID Georgia Chapter 2009 Design Excellence Award for The Regent
Hotel & Guerlain Spa, Bal Harbour, Florida

ATLANTA and MIAMI, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The newly completed Regent Bal
Harbour Hotel in Florida was recently recognized with the prestigious American
Society of Interior Design (ASID) Georgia Chapter 2009 Design Excellence
Award. The interiors throughout the hotel and its signature Guerlain Spa are
the work and inspiration of Atlanta based design firm, CMMI. The ASID Design
Excellence Award recognizes: innovation, design solution, creative and
functional use of space, scale and proportion, relationship of materials,
textures, patterns and color composition, as well as effective use of
lighting.

The Regent Bal Harbour is an elegant oceanfront hotel located on the tip of
Bal Harbour Village. The hotel features 124 guestrooms and executive suites,
as well as the signature Guerlain Spa, conference and banquet space, a
signature restaurant, a bar and lounge, and a spectacular European-edged
outdoor swimming pool.

"In developing the interior design for The Regent Bal Harbour, we considered
several design aspects including the hotel's beachfront location and water
views, ensuring that the public spaces and sitting areas were oriented toward
those views," said Jeffrey Beindorf, Allied ASID, Principal. "Our goal was to
create a striking yet comfortable environment that exceeds guest expectations
and emulates the sophistication of a Regent Hotel," added Beindorf.

Ultimately the interior design of the Regent Bal Harbour is transitional with
an Asian influence and artfully complements the building's dynamic
architecture that includes a curvilinear glass facade and two side 17-story
wings intersecting a 26 story tower that together create the illusion of the
building soaring like the curves on a ship's sails.

Guests are welcomed into a stunning lobby resplendent with deep, rich
hand-hewed millwork and offset by soothing textured neutral fabrics and
natural stone to evoke a sense of luxurious, cool opulence. The guest rooms
and suites all have a minimum of 10 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows,
and semi-private elevator access. Features include leather writing desks,
tables with bamboo-shoot accents, sheer textured drapes, stained natural
woods, handmade Asian Grass Cloth wallpaper and leather wall accents.
