18-Day Grand Opening Celebration Underway
SIDNEY, Neb.--(Business Wire)--
Cabela`s Incorporated (NYSE: CAB) announced today that a crowd estimated at
3,500 was on hand for the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Cabela`s store
in Billings on May 14. The ceremony kicked off 18 days of Grand Opening events
at the new 80,000-square-foot superstore.

Cabela`s customers arrived as much as three hours early to be some of the first
to shop the store, Cabela`s first in Montana. The Cabela`s parking lot was full
and traffic was diverted to nearby empty lots as the crowd grew throughout the
day.

Cabela`s Chief Executive Officer Tommy Millner shared the stage with fellow
guest speakers Billings Mayor Ron Tussing, Big Sky Economic Development
Authority Board Chairman Jim Gallup and Michael Copeland, Cabela`s Vice
President of Retail Operations. Also on the stage were State Sen. Gary Branae,
Rep. Margie MacDonald, Rep. Elsie Arntzen and outdoor TV celebrities Chad and
Marsha Shearer.

After presentation of the U.S. flag by the 592nd Ordinance Battalion of the U.S.
Army Reserve, the singing of the national anthem by music star Lance Combs, and
brief remarks by the speakers, Millner cut the ribbon with an engraved
commemorative hunting knife and the crowd surged into the store to the applause
of Cabela`s Outfitters, who Millner praised for their hard work in getting the
store ready for the occasion.

It took nearly 20 minutes for the crowd, pouring constantly through the door
shoulder-to-shoulder, to get in the store. Shoppers continued to come in
throughout the afternoon and the store remained busy right up to closing time.

"This was a fantastic reception for a fantastic store," Millner said. "The
people of Billings, in fact, the entire state of Montana has made us feel
welcome from the start. We`re proud to have such a fine facility finally open in
this great state."

Grand opening festivities, which run through May 31, include a Cabela`s cabin
sweepstakes giveaway. In celebration of the opening of the Billings store,
Cabela's is giving away a log cabin home valued at over $18,000. The
224-square-foot, 14 ft. x 16 ft. white pine log cabin is manufactured by Log
Cabin Homes.

Customers can enter the drawing at the store through May 23. Starting May 14,
Cabela`s will draw five names each day until May 23. The 50 semifinalists will
be invited to return to the store on Memorial Day, May 25. Of the 50, 10
finalists will be drawn and given keys. The lucky person whose key opens the
cabin will be the winner.

In addition to the log cabin sweepstakes, Cabela's will also be giving away a
shotgun and rifle from Beretta, a men`s and women`s Carhartt package, a
fly-fishing package from Sage, camping gear from Coleman, binoculars from
Leupold and a George Strait autographed guitar from Wrangler.

Store hours will be Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on
Sunday. Cabela`s (www.cabelas.com) is located at 4550 King Avenue East, Billings
