Beetle

May 17-23 is Emerald Ash Borer Awareness Week in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Satellite News Service will provide a digital satellite video
feed between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. (20:00 - 20:15 Eastern) TONIGHT, Tuesday,
May 19, of Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Michael Pechart and
department staff demonstrating how the public can help prevent the spread of
the devastating Emerald Ash Borer beetle and protect the state's $25 billion
forest products industry.

The feed features updates from Karl Valley, the department's Division Chief of
Plant Protection, on the spread of the tree-destroying Emerald Ash Borer and
upcoming statewide survey efforts.

Pennsylvania Forest Products Association Executive Director Paul Lyskava

summer to detect further infestations.
