Companies confident that partnership will meet critical market needs and speed
adoption of transformative technology
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
Activeion Cleaning Solutions, LLC, and Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC) today
announced they have entered into a technology partnership where Activeion is the
exclusive licensee of Tennant`s patent-pending ec-H2O (electrically-converted
water) for handheld spray applications. ec-H2O is a technology that transforms
water into a powerful cleaner. Activeion`s first product under the license is
the Activeion Pro: a portable, user-friendly sprayer that provides an on-demand
cleaning solution for professional cleaners. Effective on a range of surfaces
from glass and stainless, to wood and carpet, the initial target markets for
Activeion Pro are education, retail, hospitality, and health care. It is
currently available for commercial users to purchase at www.activeion.com.

"Tennant Company is an innovation leader in the cleaning industry and we look
forward to extending Tennant`s breakthrough ec-H2O technology into new markets
and applications," says Activeion CEO Jim Wiese. "We are working together to
expand and improve this technology under our partnership."

The partnership broadens the market availability and expansion of Tennant`s
award-winning cleaning technology. "Our aim is for the ec-H2O platform to become
a significant part of our business," said President and CEO Chris Killingstad.
"Through this alliance with Activeion, complementary products are added to the
suite of ec-H2O solutions, thereby making this revolutionary cleaning technology
available to more customers and complementing Tennant`s core cleaning products
such as automated scrubbers. Broader availability will increase awareness of the
significant safety, cost efficiency, cleaning efficacy and environmental
benefits of this technology."

The ec-H2O technology, developed by Tennant researchers and engineers and named
by R&D Magazine as one of the most technologically significant developments in
2008, helps to meet the ever-growing need for sustainable cleaning. ec-H2O
delivers proven cleaning results without the negative environmental and health
concerns associated with producing, packaging, transporting, using and disposing
of traditional cleaning chemicals. The technology begins as water and ends as
water, so it can be handled and disposed of easily and safely.

"ec-H2O is a category-changing advancement for the cleaning industry," says
Killingstad. "Tennant is first-to-market in our industry and together with
Activeion, we will continue to promote its market adoption."

"The benefits from this first product, the Activeion Pro, are dramatic,"
continues Wiese. "Its activated water cleaning process can eliminate most
general purpose cleaning products thereby providing health and safety benefits
to custodial staff and building occupants. The economic benefits are just as
compelling with a payback in as little as three months-welcome news in the
current economic climate. However, the most stunning benefit of the Activeion
Pro is in the environmental area. Compared to cleaning with traditional chemical
detergents, which must be produced, transported and mitigated in the waste
stream, the Activeion Pro delivers a greater than 97 percent benefit across
seven key indicators tied to environmental sustainability."

Activeion is backed by strong private investors, with a long track record of
success, who are focused on ethical investing and the development of clean
technology. In addition to the spray bottle version developed to replace the
hundreds of millions of chemical-laden cleaning bottles in use around the world,
other ec-H2O applications are in consideration at Activeion. "It`s our mission
to bring ec-H2O technology to as wide an audience as possible, as fast as we
can," says Wiese. "We hope to assist in the rapid acceptance of the
revolutionary ec-H2O cleaning technology, invented by our partners at Tennant
and enhanced through our partnership."
