Maroc Telecom unveils $1.3 bln investment plan

PARIS May 22 (Reuters) - Maroc Telecom (IAM.CS), Morocco's main telecoms operator, which is majority-owned by French media group Vivendi (VIV.PA), unveiled a 10.5 billion Moroccan dirham ($1.3 billion) investment programme late on Thursday.

Maroc Telecom said it had signed the investment programme with the country's government and had undertaken to improve communications infrastructure throughout the country. ($1=8.146 Moroccan Dirham) (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta; Editing by Rupert Winchester)
