Space shuttle Atlantis lands safely in California
(Corrects state in headline to California not Florida)
EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., May 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. space shuttle Atlantis returned safely to Earth on Sunday, after two days of landing delays caused by bad weather at the end of 13-day mission to refurbish the Hubble Space Telescope.
The shuttle touched down at the Edwards Air Force base in California.
The astronauts installed a new camera, replaced batteries and fixed instruments on the 19-year-old Hubble telescope, repairs that scientists hope will keep it in good working order for at least another five years.
