NEW DELHI May 25 (Reuters) - Indian Oil Corp (IOC.BO) has suspended operations of its single-point mooring (SPM) facility at Paradip port in eastern India from Monday because of stormy weather, two company sources said on Tuesday.

IOC had restarted the mooring facility last Wednesday after a shutdown of nearly one month caused by a leakage of crude from one of the pipeline connections. [ID:nDEL445581]

"We have suspended operations because of high swelling in ocean and over 2 metres of tide. Wind velocity was also high," said one of the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Another official confirmed the suspension of operations.

"One VLCC (very large crude carrier) and a Suezmax vessel is stranded at the port because of bad weather," the second source said.
