Rockwool Q1 pretax lags consensus

COPENHAGEN May 25 (Reuters) - Danish mineral wool producer Rockwool (ROCKb.CO) reported a bigger drop than expected in first-quarter profits on Monday.

Pretax profit was 62 million Danish crowns ($12 million) compared with a year-ago 350 million and a mean forecast for 77 million in a Reuters survey of 7 analysts.

The insulation maker repeated a forecast for full-year 2009 net profits of 400 million crowns and said it now expected sales to drop 18 percent.
