Cairn India Jan-March net plunges 84 pct

MUMBAI May 27 (Reuters) - Cairn India (CAIL.BO), an unit of Britain's Cairn Energy (CNE.L), said its consolidated quarterly net profit fell to 186.8 million rupes from 1.164 billion a year before.
Income from operations in the quarter ended March declined to 1.82 billion rupees from 3.16 billion a year ago, the energy explorer said. (Reporting by Ami Shah; Editing by John Mair)
