RALEIGH, NC, May 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
In an effort to assist the 3,000 plus Wake County residents who are in
danger of foreclosure, the Housing Counseling Division of Consumer
Education Services, Inc. (CESI), a HUD Certified Housing Counseling
Agency, will be hosting free foreclosure clinics.
"Once you have the keys to your new home it is important to guard against
foreclosure. If you are unable to make your mortgage payments, your lender
can legally seize your home and force you to leave," said a CESI
representative. "If you're falling behind in your mortgage payments we can
help increase your awareness of the options available to save your home
from being foreclosed."
The foreclosure clinics will take place weekly, and are free to attend.
Goals of the clinic include:
-- Steps to take to avoid foreclosure
-- Workout options
-- The loss mitigation process
-- Foreclosure timelines
-- How to avoid scams
-- Additional resources available to consumers
The Housing Counseling Division of CESI supports the delivery of
housing counseling services to potential homebuyers and current
homeowners. Counselors provide guidance, advice, and advocacy to help
clients meet their financial responsibilities and improve their housing
conditions and choices. The division currently focuses on families that
are facing foreclosure and financial crisis; however, it still services
clients who are looking to purchase homes.
The foreclosure clinics are FREE, however, guests must register to
attend. Enrollment will be limited. The workshop will last about 2 hours
and licensed Housing Counselors will be on site to answer any questions.
To register for a foreclosure clinic please call Alicia Johnson at:
910-583-3529 or email ajohnson@mycesi.org.
