PHOENIX--(Business Wire)--
Evolution Solar Corporation (PinkSheets: EVSO). Congress is nearing the passage
of the Waxman-Markey bill that will produce winners and losers in the utility
and energy sectors. Companies in the solar and wind industries are expected to
be the big winners when the legislation is completed.

The bill proposes to require utilities to obtain 6% of their power from
renewable sources by 2012 and 20% by 2020. This is expected to accelerate demand
for solar farms and solar technologies in the near term.

"It never hurts to have powerful friends," stated Robert Kaapke, CEO of
Evolution Solar Corp. "We are glad to see that congress is putting the full
force of the U.S. government behind alternative electrical power which will have
to come almost entirely from solar and wind power."

US solar leaders are expected to strongly support the current proposals
including companies such as SunTech (NYSE: STP - News) and Energy Conversion
Devices (NASDAQ: ENER - News).
