Three-Time World Champ Uses Great Music as Inspiration for Getting into the Zone
NORTHRDIGE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
JBL Inc., a division of Harman International Industries, Incorporated
(www.harman.com), today announced its sponsorship of professional female
wakeboard champion Dallas Friday. Harman International will supply JBL equipment
to support her 2009 wakeboard season - everything from the JBL equipped
automobile she uses to drive to competitions to the JBL headphones she uses to
get into the zone for her final heat. When she`s relaxing after a day of flips
and spins, a JBL home theater system helps her unwind. Music is a driving force
amongst athletes to go to the next level and JBL recognizes this by bringing the
best sound technology.

Friday said, "Music has always been a great tool for finding inspiration in
everything I do, in the water and out. The stock speakers that came in my SUV
and white earbuds that came with my MP3 player didn`t provide the quality I
needed to get me all the way in the zone. JBL has made a difference. It`s like
I`m enjoying my own personal concert wherever I am."

For more than 50 years, JBL has provided all generations with award-winning
sound technology. Today, the brand extends its heritage to embrace a talented
breed of particularly active individuals who relate to Friday`s high standards
and love of music. The gymnast-turned-professional wakeboarder said listening to
music helps motivate her to keep pushing to the next level.

"The JBL brand has long been a supporter of the kind of inspiration that Dallas
Friday brings to today`s youth," said Christopher M. Dragon, director of
customer marketing for Harman Consumer. "Our partnership with a pro female
wakeboarding champion helps both parties fuel their passions for great sound and
a healthy lifestyle."

Friday recently took first place at the 2009 Wake Games in her hometown of
Orlando, Fla. and a strong second place at the 50th Masters Water Ski &
Wakeboard Tournament. Her career accomplishments include five national titles,
four X Games gold medals, three world championships, a number of Pro Tour stop
victories and an ESPY award for the best female action sports athlete of the
year.

2009 Competition Schedule for Dallas Friday:
