Leading trucking expert and SIRIUS XM satellite radio personality outfits truck with latest technology to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness for owner-operators SHELTON, Conn.--(Business Wire)-- Oil Purification Systems (OPS) (www.ops-1.com), the leader in fluid cleaning technology, today announced that Kevin Rutherford, a leading trucking expert and SIRIUS XM satellite radio personality, has partnered with OPS to install the OPS-1 on-board oil refining system on the Kevin Rutherford Signature Series Truck. The Signature Series Truck has been outfitted with the latest cost saving technology, including the OPS-1 system, to help it run more efficiently and cost-effectively. The technology packaging will save the owner over $10,000 dollars a year when compared to a standard-equipped rig. The OPS-1 system helps significantly reduce waste oil, and saves time and money by extending the time between oil changes. OPS users typically cut oil maintenance costs by as much as 80 percent. "On my Sirius XM radio show, I have the opportunity to speak with owner-operators across the country to discuss all aspects of the trucking business, including challenges they face and the technology that can help make their trucks run more efficiently," said Kevin Rutherford. "I have discussed the OPS-1 system many times on my program with owner-operators and have seen first-hand the positive results that the system produces. The system consistently keeps the oil running clean and significantly extends the time between oil drains. When it came time to find the best technology for my Signature Series Truck, the OPS-1 system was a natural choice to be included." Kevin Rutherford has 20 years of experience in the trucking industry and is considered one of the top experts in growing a successful owner-operator business. Rutherford hosts a daily call-in program on Sirius XM satellite radio called "ATBS Trucking Business and Beyond" that focuses on how company drivers and owner-operators can become more profitable. Taxes, tires, engines and new technology are regular topics of discussion. Rutherford`s show can be heard on SIRIUS channel 147 and XM channel 171. The Kevin Rutherford Signature Series Truck is a 2008 Freightliner Coronado, with a 2004 Detroit 60 Series engine, and was introduced in March at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The truck will be available for approximately $105,000 and can be ordered through Fitzgerald Truck Center. Greg Slawson, chief operation officer for OPS, said, "We have long valued our relationship with Kevin Rutherford, and admire his experience and expertise in the owner-operator market. We are pleased that he has selected the OPS technology to be a part of his Signature Series Truck, and believe it will play an important role in helping owner-operators save a significant amount of time and money with fewer oil changes."
