Agresso Advances Global ERP Leadership Ahead With $3M Contract

IRVING, TEXAS AND VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, May 27
(MARKET WIRE) --
Agresso announced today the signing of a $3 million government contract
with the capital of African Nation Mozambique as further proof that the
days of expensive, rigid enterprise software solutions are numbered.
Referencing that global software buyers are showing clear signs of
distress over high maintenance and change costs demanded by the large
enterprise resource planning (ERP) giants, local Agresso management
continues to see escalating growth and this win over Microsoft Dynamics
NAV substantiates that fact.
"Agresso is not a bit surprised by the increasing numbers of dynamic
organizations -- that we call 'Businesses Living IN Change'(TM) -- who
are seeking and selecting Agresso's post-implementation change
capabilities," explains Shelley Zapp, president of Agresso North America.
"Whether you are in the private or public sector, the global economy has
hastened the abandonment of the old pay-and-pay-some-more ERP models
offered by the billion-dollar-giants. According to a survey 70 percent of
Agresso's customers state they are enabled to manage changes necessary to
accommodate mergers, reorganizations, new business processes, regulatory
compliance, etc. internally by their own business users."
Agresso North America grew 78 percent in 2008, while industry giants
continue to post stalls in year-over-year growth. The North American arm,
launched in mid-2006, continues to win public sector business in
municipal government, non-profits and the education sector - as well as a
wide array of dynamically moving professional services organizations.
"Agresso is winning deals from the majors - of that there's no doubt,"
confirms Brian Sommer of Vital Analysis, a market research organization
specializing in strategic technology guidance. "The combination of
Agresso's unusual change-oriented architecture, its growing global
footprint and the growing dislike of financially distressed organizations
who are feeling fleeced by their current ERP deployments, are fueling
this switch to Agresso. Service-Oriented Architectures alone are not
doing the job of supporting inexpensive and painless change...and after
spending millions following the advice of the giants...the market is
beginning to collectively turn its back."
News of the company's substantial Public Sector victory over Microsoft to
win the capital of Mozambique's business was announced by Agresso's
corporate parent Unit4Agresso. The company's strong worldwide leadership
position in public sector organizations has earned it a number-one
software ranking in several European countries. In North America, the
municipal governments of Ventura, CA, Sparks, NV; Lynden, WA; Kelowna,
BC; Whistler, BC, and many others, as well as non-profit public sector
organizations like Skookum of Washington, which trains and finds jobs for
disabled veterans, have all selected Agresso to run their financials,
human resources, and other business needs.
