Lorton Data`s leadership in end-to-end data management services strengthened by
Aldata list acquisition capabilities
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
Lorton Data, a leader in data quality and management services, today announced
it has acquired Aldata, a direct marketing information and list acquisition
company. By adding a robust list acquisition component to its data quality and
management services Lorton Data has significantly enhanced its ability to help
customers from the very beginning stages of direct marketing campaigns through
the final steps of performance analytics.

When producing direct marketing campaigns, organizations often times use outside
resources to supplement their own databases or to target specific audiences.
Aldata, in business since 1985, specializes in all aspects of database and list
services including access to over 65,000 lists in over 220 consumer and business
classifications, as well as list segmentation for testing and profiling.

Direct marketers use Lorton Data to enhance, manipulate and analyze data to make
their direct marketing campaigns more efficient and cost effective, and to gain
insight into the success of their campaigns. Lorton Data, a full-service
licensee of the United States Postal Service, was founded in 1989 and has
expertise in a wide range of data management services such as address quality,
data enhancement, conversion, audit and analysis.

The two companies have worked together on customer projects for over 20 years,
and are known for excellent customer service and solving unique problems. "We
are elated to have Aldata`s professional staff and suite of services under our
umbrella," states Tony Evans, CEO of Lorton Data. "They are experts in direct
marketing database and list acquisition services, and their offerings truly
complement ours. We have worked with the Aldata team for years, so the
transition will be smooth and seamless for our customers."

"This acquisition is part of our growth strategy," says Ray Davey, who joined
Lorton Data as President in February. "The transaction provides an immediate
revenue increase of over 30% and extends our reach in the marketplace. This is
the first step in a series of exciting plans we have to grow our customer base
and service offerings in the coming months."

Aldata will remain intact as a List Services division of Lorton Data. Michael
Harris, Aldata`s CEO will direct the newly formed division.
