INDIANAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
Daniel L. Fink has been named president and chief executive officer of Riley
Hospital for Children, one of the top children`s hospitals in the nation as
recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Parents magazine. Mr. Fink has served
as Riley`s chief operating officer since 2005, and also has served as interim
president and CEO since Ora H. Pescovitz, MD, left Riley earlier this month to
join the University of Michigan Health System as CEO.

As the nation`s sixth largest pediatric hospital, Riley Hospital for Children,
part of Clarian Health, is Indiana`s only comprehensive children`s hospital with
pediatric specialists in every field of medicine and surgery. Riley has
249-staffed beds, as well as 99-staffed beds at Riley Hospital for Children at
Methodist Hospital, and serves more than 225,000 inpatients and outpatients from
across Indiana, the nation and the world.

"I am honored by the vote of confidence expressed by Clarian`s leadership," said
Mr. Fink. "I admire Riley`s 85-year tradition of compassionate, high-quality
health care, and I look forward to working closely with the physicians, nurses
and staff to expand and enhance services, as well advance Riley`s cutting-edge
research for the benefit of the patients, families and communities Riley
Hospital serves."

As president and CEO, Mr. Fink will be responsible for implementing Riley
Hospital`s five-point strategic plan; developing clinical programs; establishing
and monitoring managerial performance benchmarks; cultivating a more robust
statewide network of pediatric services; and overseeing completion of the Simon
Family Tower - a 675,000 square-foot, 10-story inpatient tower that will
increase access to Riley Hospital`s expert care, highlighting its role as the
state`s preeminent pediatric care provider.

"Dan has in-depth knowledge of Riley Hospital and a strong record of success in
managing the hospital`s operations," said Daniel F. Evans, Jr., president and
CEO, Clarian Health. "He has played a significant role in advancing Riley
Hospital`s national reputation, and his dedication, hard work and commitment to
patients, their families and staff will continue to boost Riley`s recognition as
a preeminent pediatric health care leader in our state and nation."

Mr. Fink has an extensive background in health care management including serving
in various executive capacities at two health care systems in Texas - Cook
Children`s Health Care System and Methodist Hospitals of Dallas.

"Dan is a tireless advocate of excellent patient care," said Richard L.
Schreiner, MD, physician-in-chief, Riley Hospital for Children. "His promotion
to the top post reflects the respect he has earned from Clarian and Riley`s
leadership, as well from the medical staff with whom he has worked closely for
more than 4 years."

Mr. Fink has a bachelor`s degree in biology from Baylor University and two
master`s degrees - one in business administration and another in public health -
from Tulane University. He is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare
Executives; a Certified Medical Practice Executive by the American College of
Medical Practice Executives; and a member of the Indiana Healthcare Executives
Network.
