MILWAUKEE--(Business Wire)--
ZBB Energy Corporation (NYSE AMEX: ZBB) announced today that it has received an
order for two standard, modular, ZESS 50 energy storage systems incorporating
ZBB`s proprietary, patent pending, ZESS POWRTM PECC (power and energy control
center), from Envinity Inc., a renewable energy design and installation company
located in State College, Pennsylvania. The two fully integrated ZESS storage
modules will be utilized in an off-grid, multi-source renewable energy power
system for a 15,000 sq.ft private residence in central Pennsylvania. The ZESS
POWR PECC will control energy and power input from 2, 15kW solar PV arrays, ten
1.2 KW vertical axis wind turbines and a propane generator to provide a single
regulated output for use by the residents as their primary electrical service.
The ZESS system also provides for future input from a micro-hydro energy source.

Mr. Chris Lehman, Envinity`s Chief Renewable Energy Integrator, notes that "This
system will illustrate the state of the art possibilities for off-grid renewable
power applications. The peak power and deep discharge capabilities of ZBB`s
advanced energy storage and ZESS POWR PECC power control technology provide a
giant leap forward for both off-grid and grid tied renewable energy utilization.
While load efficiency will always remain a priority for stand-alone system
design, the ZESS and ZESS POWR PECC system allows much greater flexibility in
load and renewable generating source selection. `Off-grid` need no longer be a
synonym for `bare bones living`."

ZBB`s Vice President Sales and Marketing, Mr. Kevin Dennis said "We are very
excited to be teaming with Envinity on their renewable energy power systems. The
combination of Envinity`s experience and expertise with renewable energy systems
engineering and design, integration, and service along with the use of ZBB`s
ZESS 50 advanced energy storage units and ZBB`s proprietary ZESS POWR PECC
hybrid power conversion system provides a well designed, fully integrated power
and energy management system for all renewable and conventional electrical
generating sources. We commend Envinity in their foresight of a fully integrated
and cohesive controllable renewable energy power plant. This integrated solution
provides ease and flexibility in configuring these types of systems to
accommodate various sizes, numbers and types of generating sources while
providing a single or multiple outputs for the customer`s use; a true
configurable controlled renewable energy power plant for either on grid or off
grid systems."

The ZESS 50 regenerative fuel cell is a 50kWh advanced electrical energy storage
device which has a high energy density (takes less space) and is constructed
from environmentally friendly materials while providing long life and advanced
performance when compared with traditional Batteries.

The ZESS POWR PECC is a ZBB proprietary hybrid power conversion system that is a
modular, flexible and easily configurable unit which supports integration of any
combination (type, size and quantities) of generating sources (wind, Solar PV,
hydro, generator sets, etc) along with ZBB ZESS energy storage units (ZESS 50,
ZESS 500) to create any system configuration, as well as ability to be easily
expanded for future needs. The ZESS POWR PECC provides the ability to
independently optimize the control of each generating source (or to provide
ability to increase energy production of renewable sources by providing
optimization of multiple sub-sets of the renewable sources) while having the
ability to provide any combination (type, size and quantities) of controlled
output (AC grid connected, AC off grid, Combination of grid connected and off
grid for back-up power, a variety of DC outputs or any combination of AC and DC
outputs) all in a single factory tested package.
