HOUSTON--(Business Wire)--
Acclaimed artist David Adickes announced today that the Texas-size bust of our
44th president, Barack Obama, will be transported to the Black Hills at the
Presidents Park near Deadwood, South Dakota to join the other 43 presidents for
a July 4th celebration. The bust will travel to Pearland, Texas June 5th and the
bust launch party will be held in Houston at 2500 Summer Street on June 6, 2009
at a time to be announced. 

In response to the overwhelming popularity of Barack Obama, the bust will visit
30 cities in eight states and is expected to arrive in its new home in the Black
Hills by June 15th. The three and one half ton statue has been invited to make
an appearance at rallies across the country, and some cities will be presented
with life size busts of President Obama to be auctioned off to the highest
bidders. Proceeds will be used to feed the homeless in each local community.

Stops will be made in: Austin and Fort Worth, Texas; Springfield, Branson and
St. Louis, Missouri; Springfield and Chicago, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
Minneapolis St. Paul, Minnesota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mount Rushmore; and
Deadwood. The bust will have overnight stays in Austin, Fort Worth, Branson, St.
Louis, Springfield, Chicago, Minneapolis, Sioux Falls and Mount Rushmore. 

Crowds are expected to view the bust as it treks through 30 cities on an
open-bed trailer visible for all.
