WASHINGTON, May 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Families facing difficult
decisions on long term care facilities will find answers to the critical
questions they must ask in the latest "10 QUESTIONS TO ANSWER ABOUT LONG TERM
CARE" released today by the Heinz Family Philanthropies as part of its Facts
About project.

Teresa Heinz, chairman of the Heinz Family Philanthropies explained "The10
QUESTIONS TO ANSWER series targets family caregivers to help them through the
long-term care maze. Our goal is to help caregivers and their families
understand that they are not alone," she said.

The questions and answers are available online at
www.tenquestionstoanswer.org, marking the first time the Facts About project
will provide its informative fact sheets online as well as through laminated
index cards distributed to the public and to key public and private sector
decision makers.

"Too often, it's at the last minute and in great stress that families are
forced to confront the complicated and difficult questions surrounding long
term care. Our goal is raise the key questions and provide answers to help
every family make the best decisions possible before there's a crisis," said
Jeffrey Lewis, President of the Heinz Family Philanthropies.

The Ten Questions to Answer campaign is intended to help provide caregivers,
particularly women, answers to a myriad of questions dealing with long term
care and the most up-to-date, concise, accurate, and unbiased information
related to important issues about long-term care.

Today's release of Ten Questions to Answer Before Choosing a Nursing or
Assisted-Living Home for Your Loved One, marks the midpoint of the campaign
with the 10 Questions series continuing with two more releases in coming
weeks.

information. The Ten Questions Campaign will provide information that they

In 2002, Heinz Family Philanthropies introduced its Facts About card series,
aimed at providing decision-makers with up-to-date and dependable statistical
information on many complex problems that face our nation. Since the program's
inception, more than 400,000 Facts About cards have been distributed to
lawmakers, business professionals, civic leaders, community advocates,
educators, union leaders, parents, and students.
