  LOS ANGELES, CA, May 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
The Group Room -- the nationally syndicated weekly call-in cancer talk
radio show -- will produce its annual live ASCO broadcast, which will
also be videocast, from the floor of the 45th Annual Meeting of the
American Society of Clinical Oncology, Sunday, May 31, Orange County
Convention Center, Orlando, FL. The show will take place in the West
Building Hall B Lobby, 4:00-6:00pm ET.

    The annual ASCO meeting is the world premier scientific event for oncology
professionals. More than 30,000 cancer specialists from around the world
are expected to gather to discuss the latest advances in cancer care,
treatment, prevention and survivorship, and this year's theme is
"Personalizing Cancer Care," a practice focusing on caring for the
individual -- not just treating the disease -- through the entire spectrum
of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment to survivorship and end of life
care.

    Selma R. Schimmel, founder and CEO of Vital Options International, hosts
The Group Room. "As a multiple time cancer survivor, I find this focus on
personalized cancer care to be very compelling. It reflects the patient as
a whole, as well as the dynamic clinical advances in personalized medicine
today," says Schimmel.

    "The Group Room does a great job providing useful information and insight
on issues affecting the patient community," said Eric P. Winer, MD, Chair
of ASCO's Cancer Communications Committee and professor of medicine at
Harvard Medical School. "We are pleased that The Group Room will again
broadcast from the floor of ASCO's Annual Meeting, offering insight and
expertise on the research presented."

    Topics to be discussed will include advances in gastrointestinal cancers,
lung cancer, women's cancers, and personalized medicine, with:

    Nicholas J. Petrelli, MD, Medical Director, Helen F. Graham Cancer Center,
Wilmington, DE; Chair of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel
Project, Colorectal Committee; Past President of the Society of Surgical
Oncology; Chair-Elect of the ASCO Cancer Communications Committee;

    Alan B. Sandler, MD, Professor of Medicine; Division Chief, Hematology &
Medical Oncology, DeArmond Chair, Clinical Cancer Research Oregon Health &
Science University;

    Julie R. Gralow, MD, Director, Breast Medical Oncology Group and Associate
Professor of Medical Oncology, University of Washington School of
Medicine, Associate Member, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center,
Clinical Division, Vice-Chair of the Southwest Oncology Group's Breast
Cancer Committee, Seattle, WA; Immediate Past-Chair of the ASCO Cancer
Communications Committee;

    Sonali M. Smith, MD, Associate Professor, Section of Hematology/Oncology
and Associate Director, Lymphoma Program at The University of Chicago;
Member of the ASCO Cancer Communications Committee.

    The show is heard live in select cities, Internet simulcast and videocast
at www.vitaloptions.org and www.thegrouproom.tv, where all programs are
also archived, tape delayed on XM Satellite Radio's America's Talk XM158
