ATLANTA--(Business Wire)-- Slife Labs today introduced a new version of Slife, the revolutionary time and productivity management application that helps individuals and businesses keep track of their computer time and activities automatically. The third generation of Slife is designed as a subscription-based web service powered by an open source client application. When the Slife client software runs, it automatically observes which applications, documents and web sites users interact with and for how long. This activity stream is uploaded to the Slife web service, allowing users to view statistics and visualizations associated with their computer usage in real-time. Thousands of designers, writers, consultants and many others rely on Slife to keep track of time and productivity without any extra work or time sheets. Completely redesigned, Slife now makes it more intuitive to categorize applications, documents and web sites under user-defined Activities. Slife also offers new features such as Notes, that gives users the option of contextualizing activities with short, Twitter-style posts, and Meetings & Phone Calls, which facilitates the logging of non-computer-based activities. "This release represents a major milestone for us. We couldn't be more excited to be able to offer Slife as a web application and to bring the client to the world of open source," said Edison Thomaz, Slife Labs founder and CEO. "Our goal has always been to provide a truly open and extensible platform. We are delivering on that vision today." Pricing and Availability Slife is available immediately as a subscription-based web service at http://www.slifelabs.com and costs $5 (US) a month. There are no initiation or cancellation fees.
