SEOUL May 27 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) on Wednesday said it had renewed its existing NAND flash memory chip licence with SanDisk (SNDK.O) of the United States for 7 years, at a lower royalty rate.

"Although some information cannot be disclosed due to an agreement between the two parties, the royalty rate will be about half of the rate applied in the existing contract," Samsung said in a filing to the Korea Exchange.
