NOTES:
FHFA Director James Lockhart said "Our latest data are consistent with growing evidence that housing market conditions may be stabilizing in some parts of the country, especially areas not covered by the other major repeat sales price index."
The home price index is calculated using purchase prices of houses financed with mortgages that have been sold to or guaranteed by Fannie Mae FNM.N or Freddie Mac FRE.N.
