TOKYO May 28 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp's (7203.T) sales in Japan so far in May are down roughly 25 percent from the same period last year, President Katsuaki Watanabe said on Thursday.

Watanabe also told a small group of reporters at a business lobby gathering that he expected Toyota's domestic vehicle production to exceed 11,000 units per day in both June and July.
