PARIS, June 1 (Reuters) - French carmaker Peugeot has declared itself open to any form of alliance amid turmoil in the car industry on condition the Peugeot family maintains a core presence, French newspaper Les Echos reported on Monday.

In an advance copy of its front page for the Tuesday edition, the newspaper quoted Peugeot Citroen PSA (PEUP.PA) supervisory board chairman Thierry Peugeot as saying Peugeot would consider any form of alliance or share partnership.

The only condition is that the Peugeot family must remain as a core shareholder, he said, according to a headline summary.
