Satyam Appoints New Leadership in Australia and New Zealand

SYDNEY, June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Satyam Computer Services Ltd., a
global consulting and information technology services company, today announced
the appointment of Venki Prathivadi as the new country manager for Satyam
Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Satyam has also appointed Vijay Prasad as
principal advisor to the ANZ region. 

Mr. Prathivadi will direct all Satyam activities in the two countries,
including customer relationship management, solution development, service
delivery, sales and support.  Satyam operates major solution centers across
Australia in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.  Prathivadi replaces Deepak
Nangia, who left the company for personal reasons.

Prathivadi has been with Satyam since 2003 and most recently was Satyam's
delivery director for a leading Australian telecommunications provider.  He
has an extensive background in the IT services industry, having held
consulting roles in SAP Australia and EDS Australia, and he has lived in
Australia for the past 18 years. 

As principal advisor to the ANZ region, Vijay Prasad will provide advisory
services to build delivery excellence and leadership in ANZ. Vijay is one of
the senior-most executives at Satyam; he nurtured the company's Enterprise
Applications and Business Intelligence Practice Group and served as Satyam's
CIO.  Prior to joining Satyam, Vijay worked in Australia, New Zealand and the
United States; Vijay will be based in Sydney. 

The appointments were announced by T. R. Anand, Director and Senior Vice
President of Satyam and a key member of the management team.  Anand's
responsibilities include head of the Asia-Pacific region and global head of
digital convergence industries, which span telecommunications, technology
Infrastructure, media and entertainment, and semiconductors.
