MIAMI, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Chelsea Design, Miami's premier residential and
commercial interior design firm, announced the opening of a new office in
Nassau, Bahamas. The office, scheduled to open October 2009, will be the first
of three offices planned to open in the Islands. Chelsea Design is owned and
operated by Samantha Melvin and Regina Agro who proudly oversee the "most
successful women-owned and operated design firm in the South Florida market,"
according to the American Academy of Interior Designers (AAID).

Chelsea Design's corporate office will remain in the Miami Design District.
For many years, Chelsea Design has been turning its clients' dreams into vivid
three-dimensional realities for some of the world's most elite and discerning
clientele. "We are a small firm and each of our employees puts a great deal of
thought and time into our client's wants, needs and wishes. Part of that
equation is being conveniently located and able to work around their
schedules. Opening an office where their projects are being built is more
convenient for them rather than having them meet at our offices in the
States," stated owner Regina Agro.

International projects account for over half of the Chelsea Design's workload.
While there has been a decline in American markets as a result of the global
economic crisis, Chelsea Design has seen its high-end clientele refocus its
money and efforts on their properties abroad. "Developments in the Islands
continue to thrive with new multi-million dollar homes being built. There has
been a slowing in the industry both nationally and abroad, but we've found
high-end communities in the Islands have maintained their momentum," stated
Ms. Agro.

Islands such as the Bahamas cater to wealthy foreigners who want to purchase
property or build a new residence. The International Persons Landholding Act
grants foreigners automatic approval to purchase residential property if it is
less than five acres on any single island in the Bahamas. The IPLA also
exempts foreigners from having to pay real property tax for up to two years as
long as the land purchased is undeveloped and the investor begins developing
it during that two-year period.

Chelsea Design's staff has created a seamless process for its clients who
decide to purchase and complete projects overseas. Their staff is educated in
all matters of International shipping, brokerage services and customs clearing
and fees. "We pride ourselves on offering our client's a turnkey project. We
want our clients to experience the same high-quality service and attention to
detail as if we were completing a project in Miami. Coordinating and
supervising the export/import process is necessary to eliminate our clients
having to deal with complications and unnecessary stresses. We are happy to
take on these additional responsibilities at no extra cost to the client to
ensure their satisfaction," stated Samantha Melvin, owner.
